More Guides

Quick Start

R7X is a 7-inch quick-release smart display designed for most motorcycles. Simply mount the RiderNav quick-release cradle on your bike and connect the power cable. Once installed, R7X is plug-and-play-it works through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to mirror your phone, giving you easy access to navigation, music, and other supported apps on the screen.

Ports & Slots

MicroSD Card Slot

The microSD card slot is located on the side of the unit. Use the included screwdriver to loosen the screw, insert a microSD card (card not included), then go to R7X Settings > Storage to format the card. For OTA firmware updates, we recommend an 8–32 GB card.

Note: The microSD card is required only for OTA updates and is not needed for daily use. Please make sure the screw and waterproof gasket/strip are fully tightened afterward.

USB Type-C Port

There is a USB-C port on the back of the unit. You can remove the screws and power the device using a 5V 2A USB-C to USB-A cable (cable not included).

After powering, fully tighten the screws and waterproof gasket to maintain water resistance—if the seal is not secure, water may enter the display, and water damage is not covered under warranty.

In the Box

Everything you need to get started. The RiderNav R7X comes complete with all essential components for installation and operation. The quick-release cradle allows for easy mounting and removal, while the included mounting bracket securely attaches to your motorcycle. Diameter adapters ensure compatibility with various handlebar sizes, and the screwdriver and hardware make installation straightforward.

Installation Instructions

Step 1 — Mount the Bracket

① Choose a suitable mounting location (clear view, easy access, does not block instruments or steering).
② The included bracket fits Φ22-32 mm round handlebars. Select the correct adaptor for your handlebar diameter, then tighten the bracket securely.
③ Tighten all screws firmly to prevent movement.

Step 2-Connect to Power

① Connect the red wire to the positive terminal, black wire to the negative terminal.
② Yellow wire to the motorcycle ACC (switched power).

Tip: How to find ACC (switched 12V):Check your motorcycle manual/service guide for ACC/IGN/switched 12V.
Common locations: fuse box, OEM accessory connector, or wiring near the ignition switch.
Verify with a multimeter: ignition OFF = no voltage; ignition ON = ~12V.
If unsure, professional installation is recommended.

Step 3-Power Check

① After starting the motorcycle, insert the R7X into the cradle and make sure it powers on. (The display must be aligned with the cradle to insert. The correct orientation is when the RiderNav logo is at the bottom-left of the screen.)

② Gently push or pull the R7X to confirm it is securely seated and locked.
③ Press the release pin on the cradle to remove the R7X. Hold the unit while releasing to prevent it from falling and getting damaged.
