1) BMW Nav Prep 5/6 (with key lock, no front buttons)
Also known as the BMW Navigator mount for Nav V/VI. It’s the OEM “navigation preparation” base that powers and talks to accessories via the pogo-pin connector. Units with the simple, button-free bezel are the right type for R7M.

2) New keyless electric BMW ConnectedRide Mount (motor-driven latch)
The latest “electric/keyless” mount used on 2024–2026+ models (BMW part no. 65 90 5 B6C 8C0). It locks/unlocks electronically instead of using a mechanical key. R7M fits the mount interface.
Any BMW cradle with physical buttons on the bezel
Examples: the older 4-button Navigator cradles. If you see +/− or page icons molded into the left edge, that is a buttoned cradle and not compatible with R7M.

Q: My mount has front buttons but I won’t use them—will R7M work?
A: No. Buttoned Navigator cradles are a different hardware family and are not supported by R7M.
Q: Is the “ConnectedRide Cradle” the same thing?
A: BMW’s ConnectedRide Cradle is a phone holder that also clips onto the bike’s navigation preparation. We reference it here only to show how BMW names the prep; R7M uses the same prep type, but it is not a phone holder.
