The RiderNav R7M supports OTA (Over-The-Air) firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features. Due to the absence of a USB-C port, the R7M can only be updated while mounted on the BMW navigation cradle with the motorcycle ignition ON. Updates require a stable Wi-Fi connection and an inserted SD card (We recommend purchasing an 8GB SD card separately, as it is not pre-installed in R7M units.). R7M is compatible with BMW Nav Prep 5/6 (key-lock) and the new keyless electric cradle—both button-free mounts that power the unit and enable Wonder Wheel control. Cradles with physical front buttons are not supported.
